Berkeley Castle
Description
Say "I do" to history ∙ Your dream wedding at Berkeley Castle
Berkeley Castle, a magnificent 11th-century fortress, offers couples the extraordinary opportunity to host their dream wedding within its storied walls, becoming a part of an unbroken 870-year-old living history.
From its origins in 1153, when Henry II commissioned its construction, to its present-day management by Mr. Charles Berkeley, the Castle is overflowing with tales. Esteemed visitors like Queen Elizabeth I, King Henry VIII, King Edward II, and, more recently, Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother and King Charles have all graced its grounds. Now, couples can add their own chapter to this magical narrative.
As the Berkeley family shares, "Berkeley Castle has been the home of my family since 1153, and we do hope that you will enjoy your wedding day as much as we have enjoyed living here. The Castle and grounds are unique and have celebrated many wonderful events over the years. We are delighted that you would want to hold your celebrations here with us and hope you enjoy the magic that is Berkeley Castle."
